'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

95 cents a litre isn't bad, I was given 800 litres of WVO, I'm going to be converting to biodiesel when I get a few days off.

Here in UK we buy diesel in litres.  There are 3.88 litres per US gallon.  We pay about £1.12 per litre.

So in US dollars that is around $8 per gallon.  YUP you read that right!
$8 per gallon.

Thats why I take medication :-\

This week i paid 100.9 /L. Last time i filled up a month ago [i love diesels] it was 105.9 /L . All this is a drag as i'm in the process of rerouting my VO control wires and haven't run on VO in weeks. I used to fill the diesel tank once every 6 weeks and wouldn't even look at the price .

I was happy filling up at $2.939. Was about 10 miles away from home, but I was going to a function and pulled in.
I stick with name brand fuels, and avoid the no name stations. The Hess by me must be independent, for he was $3.099 compared to the company owned Hess where I paid the above price.

Any of the Long Island/NYC guys want to do a biodiesel co-op, count me in.

Denrold,I see fuel came down on your side of the pond. I was there 3 years ago to London, York, Manchester, Dublin and Belfast on the Irish side and paid that price back then.

#1 was $3.26/gallon last week when I mixed my own ratio.

Pretty cold here right now...like -5 to -10F at night. So, I find access to #1 is critical. I used to put a 400 watt magnetic heater on the Mk. I fuel tanks at night to ensure early morning starting. However, the Mk. II tanks have reservations about doing this (yuk!).
So, I am running a lot of E-85 in the gas CIS cars right now (at a cost of $2.09/gallon).

Sorry! Running diesel at those prices, when I can run booze (for far less) just doesn't pencil out at the current time!!!! :P
