on to the next.... 82 Diesel caddy...
« on: December 06, 2009, 09:11:15 pm »
today I started in on my caddy that I picked up a couple months ago...

Plans are to fix it up and daily it while I paint my brown rabbit... then sell it.. just a rough plan though

Some pics of how I found it:

how I got it home:

first order of business it to get it sanitized enough to work on... it had some furry friends living in it for a while, and their "stuff" need to be moved out..

I worked on it for a few hours today and ended up with this:

oh, and for all of you rust belt dewlers: its lived in SOCAL all of its life.... NO RUST SUCKAS!!

Gawd I miss my Caddy so bad.   :'(

FWD pickmeup truck would be perfect for our wonderful Edmonton snowstorm, and I got a ton of old parts that need to go to the metal recyclers.  ::)

Looks like mine. I would check for raintray rust on the passenger side. Water might have gone down between the seam sealer and in between the wheel well arch's double steel plating. Very nice find though. 8)

Caught mine in time. Thats great info. Wonder if the FAQ has model specific inspection for these old beasts.
