Not to threadjack, but is there a set already made for VR6 engines?  I know there is a Samco VR6 set, but it's very expensive.

Thanks,
Brendan

I'm a bit confused?  Are you making a whole bunch of different hoses, or a universal-type hose?  Have you sent any of the original '82 or '83 style diesel hoses to be tooled?  (The TIICO hoses are actually gasser ones)  I guess I'm wondering if you're making any with the narrower ends that would work for the stock '82 setup?  Do you need some '82 or '83 hoses? - I can ask around..

Right now I have a set of Tiico hoses going to tooling, I have a set of MKIII and engine AAZ coming

So a complete set would be correct

By a "whole bunch of hoses" I meant multiple sets (one that would fit the stock diesel?) or just the AAZ/TIICO hoses which fit the gas to diesel conversions?  By universal I meant a set that would fit both the later AAZ/etc gas>diesel conversions and the stock setup (stepped ends for the smaller pipes?)

If you're interested in supplying a set that fits the stock engine, I'm sure I/we could get some together.. I may have a set available to loan out after the holidays (possibly a "new" rig).

Thanks,

Will.

TICCO ASSY'S ARE 375.00 PER SET, advise color

We need a firm order of 25 set's so there is no 2600.00 tooling charge.

This for the TIICO Motor , see them at Vancafe.com

BusDepot has a nice diagram and parts list showing which hoses are NLA for the 82-83 diesel Vanagons.

That little bypass hose #8 is less than $6, but the octopus hose #6 and the expansion tank/heater return to water pump hose #9 are NLA, while the radiator/oil cooler (068121073C '83-'84 - gotta check the '82) to pump hose is still available, it's pricey at $120.

Aaallll righty then...

Are we ready to start the ordering process? We need 25 paid-up orders to get the good no-tool prices. I had a lot of interest on The Samba as well, shouldn't be an issue.

Is everyone recovered from the holidays enough to start this back up? :D

Can you clarify if these are TIICO inline gasser hoses or JX turbo diesel hoses (bypass is different - anything else?)  Also, are these tooled/adapted for the '82/'83 stock diesels?
