making an emblem from the "turbo" on audi5000 intake mani.
« on: December 03, 2009, 06:15:08 pm »
Ok, so the idea is to get the cool looking "turbo" from off of the mani and make it to sell here to other members so that they can use it.  You can put it on your intake manifold, valve cover, belt cover etc. the list goes on. I will make two different versions one of the completeones and one of the individual leters both will be $15.00, but like with so many other thing the first few customers will probably be free. so that they can show them off.  The finished product can be glued, screwed on, pretty much anything up to the imagination.  The first one I make is going on the belt cover, and then painted over.  Pictures soon to follow, but so far I have cleaned the area to be copied on the manifold "shiny, shiny".  Let me know what you think guys.

you know, decarbonated beer is a better coolant than the stuff you buy at the auto store, and is better for you...... really

First model for molding is done, now to scan it and reproduce it.

Don't mind the discoloration, it can be painted over and even has texture lust like the real thing.

I hit a breakthrough, and I can make just about anything now.  Anything that people are looking for that is rare/hard to come by?  I can make it as long as it is small or some medium items can be done as well.  I have some of these turbo emblems ready to go ayone interested?

don't mind the discoloration ;) the details are all there, I'll have to paint it to show the finished product.  I have a mold curing right now for mass production. 8)

the first one there is made of JB Weld, however, The rest of them will be made from a high grade epoxy that is completely clear.

I never got much interest just the guys here, I can make any emblem really, have all of the supplies to do so the only way to make it cheap is to make them in mass quantities "the mold material is pricey"  if you have something though, small maybe, you want replicated all I need is a base model of said object and I can do it, and don't worry you will get it back with a copious supply of replicas to compensate.  At this point I am looking for both business and practice. 8)
