They are both mounted at 4 points. One on each side of the machined aluminum "bellhousing". Then on the front side of the motor, just below the oil cooler there is a special mount that bolts to the block, and attaches to the skid via a machined aluminum spacer. You can see this pretty well on picture No.1.
On the backside of the motor, there is another mount that bolts to the block, then curves up underneath the starter and attaches to the skid via another machined aluminum spacer. I'll take some more better pics of the mounts.
The AAZ motor has cast aluminum mounts, and the Mexican motor has more like 1/4" steel "bent" mounts. All appear factory purpose made, and not homebuilt.
Unfortunately the rear mount on the AAZ motor is broken, so I will probably fabricate a replacement to match the bent steel one on the Mexican motor. There is no runner or urethane isolation mounts on these motors.
As far as the pumps go....Its been a long time since I remember looking at what all the different numbers mean on the ID plates....but, here's the VW part no. for the AAZ pump. 068 130 109 J That is the one that looks just like a 1.6TD pump. Interesting thing about that pump....I have a 1.6TD in my Caddy, I took the boost pin out to compare it to the pump off this motor, and this pump has a larger diameter pin. It doesnt even fit into my 1.6TD. The cone taper is very similar, but the overall pin diameter different. So who knows what this thing is. Maybe its a specific industrial turbo pump made to run at lower RPMs.
I'll get the number off the NA pump later....its in my other garage.
You can see in the second pic that the clutch arm has been cut off with a cutting torch. It should be like 18 inches long. it can be mounted on either side of the PTO.
I called the company to find out some more info on them. They couldn't tell me much about the motor, pump or whatever, just that Lister-Petter is now VW's industrial supplier apparently. As far as the actual PTO assembly, they still make them new....like $1200. But I dont think that includes the alloy bellhousing.
Here's the link to this particular PTO.
http://pec-clutches.com/catalog.html?page=16In pic No.3 you can see also a machined alloy hub of some sort attached to the pulley end of the crankshaft. I have no idea what they used this for.
In the bellhousing there is a sensor which I can only assume is there to signal a tachometer of some sort.
