Feeler: powder coating service
« on: November 29, 2009, 09:37:31 pm »
Not trying to step on anyones toes here, but I was thinking about doing some custom powdercoating for the guys here on spyderchat.  Nothing big, just something to pull in a little extra dough, and nothing bigger than what can fit in a conventional oven.  Locals would be preferred, however I can ship stuff out too.  Guaging for interest before I commit to start doing this.  Lemme know, first few customers would get free service if it works out so that you can brag about me.  If I get enough inerest, I will get permission to move to the commercial section and move there to take up buisness.  Prices will be fair, I won't charge labor by the hour, but the difference is I will charge for all materials used, for example, if I use brake cleaner to clean said part of debris etc. I will simply add a small surcharge for the brake cleaner "don't fret, it won't be much"  You will recieve a recipt for all of the work done, I don't plan on doing it more than once so all work will come with an unconditional guarentee against errors in workmanship and quality.  Any questions or comments post here.

thanks,

Kevin

you know, decarbonated beer is a better coolant than the stuff you buy at the auto store, and is better for you...... really

My goal is to do small stuffs, my oven is outdoors "and not used for cooking"  I will be able to have high quality high output of smal items that other facilities with larger orders won't be able to fill in a shorter timespan, and there is just one employee, me which cuts down on costs and allows for greater quality control.  No, to answer you next question, I did not go to shool or google that answer.

thanks,

I have the stuff, discount for vwdiesel members, first couple customers will be free, less cost of powder.  send it out, I'm thinking along the lines of injectors, valve covers, trannys, oil pans, battery trays, engine mounts...... etc.

right now, I have rat rod black "satin", some mopar orange, white, and a gloss black.  Like I said though, you buy the color you want and I spray and bake.  Someone asked me to do a g60 valve cover, you are really limited to your imagination, I can really do anything.  For example, tiger stripes, a different color for the valve covers, brake calipers, you name it.  All that I ask is that you pay for shipping and materials used "powder"  I won't be able to do this for very long, I will be going to Afghanistan soon in Oct. Nov. so jump on it folks.  I went out and bought an old electric oven for just this purpose.
