To the original problem. If you hit the lug with a steel drift a few times with a 20 lb sledge hammer, it will compress the aluminum of the wheel and remove the tension. Then it will come out easily. I had to do it on a set of snowflakes with locking lugs.

I cold-chiseled a recalcitrant 1.5D headbolt once... It was a neat experience.

Trolls.... that is all. Theres one on every board. Like the guy who poured a NOS energy drink in his gixxer, or the guy who poured sand in his intake to port and polish it... Trolls.
I dunno man, I believe that there
ARE(lol) people as stupid as to do all that... and think it is what needs to be done. Lol Not everyone has an awesome forum to learn from.

Years back I had a customer with a Grand Prix GTP.. It had one of those "oil change " lights.. He traded this car on one of the last year Firebirds.. Top of the line of course, WS6 package I think.. The "oil change light" came on so he brought in for service.. Pulled the drain plug, looked like a mix of gear lube and wheel bearing grease.. Hmm Looked at the clock 63K miles on it.. Hmm come to think of it, it has been a while since he's been in for service... Gave him a call about it.. Nope oil never changed since it left the lot, he was waiting for the "change oil" light like his old car had.. Sadly the change oil light in the Fireturd was actually the oil pressure light coming on and off..

You mean that there ARE people as stupid as that. Yes I think it could happen, but it comes up on at least every forum once. Its a good way to get a *** load of traffic on the site.

thank you for correcting my midnight typo lol.
and yeah, I guess it could be a ploy for numbers on the site... but why? Why do you have to be stupid to get people to notice your site? I know why, because you have a lame site lol.

Cause someone goes, no way that cant be real and links it to another site, where countless other people check it out and so on.
Do you really think a dude who washed his engine out with water deserved a thread 30 pages long? This cat thinks not.
You don't have to be stupid to get people to notice your site, but things like this are so unbelievably stupid that they are funny. There are so many examples of sheer stupidity like this that people document for some reason it just cant all be real. Could a guy actually flush his engine with water? Yes, its very easy to do. But it just seems wayyy to far fetched.
Stupid should hurt... that is all.

You know what German thing I like as much as VW's and a good lager? The concept of schadenfreude. If to err is to be human, than these winners are superhuman, but I don't think they are the ubermensch Nietzsche had in mind. I laughed so hard it hurts. I love it.
