question - brand name and quality
« on: November 23, 2009, 12:41:53 am »
Hi Guys,
I finally have some time,to work on my 82 caddy ,with 1.6NA.
I just purchased some new parts from autohausaz.com and wanted to get your feed back about quality-before I install the parts.
I'm replacing the water pump. I purchased a complete assembly(Pump, gasket and housing) It's manufatured by Graf-
What do you think ? any good ?
I noticed it had a stamped steel impelled, with fewer blades than the one I removed (which was a cast iron impeller)

I also purchase all 3 front engine seals. They are CRP  any good ?

I also purchased a  IP reseal kit on Ebay
Bosh DGK126 and it came with a front IP seal made by ZEXEL #9461614046  Any good ? I have never heard of ZEXEL.
Thanks in advance, for your input.

I have never had any issues with the brands that AutohausAZ sells.  Graf is great, CRP is pretty good, Bosch is self-explanatory, and I have heard of Zexel injection pumps.

Zexel...very good.
CRP seals.....fine.

Stamped steel impeller.....send back. I believe the general consensus is that the stamped steel blades do not move the coolant nearly as well as the cast iron impellers do.
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.
