So I picked up one of these Kia TDI pumps from eBay Europe, 0 460 414 191. I posted some cut&paste comments on the mTDI FAQ thread for this and others.
I haven't tried to fit this thing yet, as my Land Rover pump is currently on my ALH and timed etc, but it looks very similar in terms of mounting.
There are a few extra external parts on this pump in addition to the throttle position sensor that I'm trying to figure out. Andrew L. took a quick look and made some quick guesses as the functions of these two parts in particular.

And here are the two assemblies that I'm not familiar with from the Land Rover pumps or the older VW IDI 1.6TD (or 1.9TD AAZ) pumps:

As far as the unfamiliar additional parts, after consulting the pros on some quick speculation,
the shock on the throttle linkage slows the return to idle when you let off the accelerator pedal rapidly,
the vacuum actuator and cable output (which is broken in my photo, poor packaging job on it's ride across the ocean) likely raises idle slightly most likely with A/C is running etc.
& perhaps the added solenoid at the dynamic advance retards timing under certain conditions for lower NOx emissions?
JFKO, Dino, or anyone else, do you have any comments on this speculated narrative?
