Check your intake hoses!
« on: November 21, 2009, 10:00:03 am »
Guess who didn't notice that their intake hose had come of the turbo since changing the head gasket.
Yup, 13,000 miles of grot and ***e have now said hello to my engine internals. Mostly at 80mph (upon my private road officer :P) So I am kicking myself because this is not likely to be good. Just been doing the figures on the back of a bit of paper, and that equates to inhaling a cube of air 100' x 100' x100', which doesent sound so bad, :-\ So fingers crossed, and check those pipes.

A cube of air 100footx100footx100feet doesn't seem like much but at sea level weighs about 34 imperial tons! 38 short tons! :o

Sorry to hear that, and thanks for the head's up.

In the interest of international cultural awareness and understanding did you , perhaps,  misspell ***e?  The British word I have in mind would be spelled ****e.  Or, do I need to add ***e to my scatalogical vocabulary?

I noticed a hole in my 240D air cleaner that must have been there for years, but no effect so far (fingers crossed.)

Check his location. If you still don't get it, go rent and watch Trainspotting or some other film from the UK, you'll figure it out.
