Signs of failing injector pump.
« on: November 20, 2009, 11:54:26 am »
What signs, other than leaking, indicate that an injector pump is beginning to fail? I've had a few leakers, but never a complete failure.

you need to figure out why your car doesnt run first. not just throw parts at it.

thats the difference between a decent mechanic and a GREAT mechanic, the ability to diagnose the problem.

Before I heave a pump off at the breakers, I undo the pump outlet banjo bolt and look at the fine mesh filter that hides in it. Any sign of metallic nastyness and I run away. :D
