Yesterday my 1.8t swapped B3 syncro decided to strip the timing belt. Yes you can blame my sorry ass for not staying on to of maintenance... Being an interference enginesand this one having 20 valves means $$$$ to fix (new valves and possibly pistons).
So I was browsing the classifieds in a local forum when I stumbled upon a nice, freshly rebuilt TD. The engine was fully rebuilt in 2007 as were the KKK turbo and injection pump. This sounds nice, doesn't it? Well it gets better. The engine sits in a pretty damn clean 84 Rabbit. The guy drives the car quite a lot. It's not his daily but he uses it for long distance trips which IMO says a lot about the mechanical condition of the car. The seller also has a good reputation in the forum.
The only downside seems to be some rust around the windshield and one rocker panel.
