This is not for me, but for a friend. He bought a turbo motor from deaneid in Tennesse. Well, the head was smoked beyond repair, and my friend did not know much about diesels at the time.
So, I set him up with dillenger1 here on the GTD, for a head he had listed for $100. Well, dillenger1 screwed him too. The head had cracked injector bosses that had been welded (poorly) down to the GP holes. He dis not mention this during the sale, even when pressed about cracks.
So, looking for a STRAIGHT (within tolerances) head with NO CRACKS (aside from small ones between the valves) and NO carnage (i.e. chewed lifter bores, mangled seats, worn cam journals, re-threaded or cross-threaded coolant or manifold holes, etc.
In other words, a good usable head that will need a valve refresh and a skim to bring it back to life. We're not looking for basket-cases.
