Feeler of interest, 89 Jetta TD $600

Posting up for a friend.
car is a 89 jetta, 1.6TD, 5 speed.
i dont remember how many kms on it to be exact.
dark blue/purple exterior. tinted windows. some rust here and there.
its sitting on a 60/40 kit with steelies
has factory power windows and locks.

Heres the catch. the car had a "engine run away" a few weeks ago, redline'd for about 15 minutes before he thought of stalling it in gear with the brakes pressed. we towed it back to his place to check it out, started right up, no indication of damage to the engine. its really a 50/50 chance so its being sold for parts or if someone wanted to throw another engine in it.

$600 obo is what we think is reasonable, car is located in calgary alberta.

15 minute runaway  .  I had this happen to me with an old Transporter about 7-8 years ago.  Took about 1 minute or less to stall but sure did feel like 15 minutes!  The amount of smoke was crazy.  Mine too, ran after I got it home ... but not very good.

yeah it was probably less than 15 minutes, feels like forever. engine seems to have a little missfire now
