WTB used AAZ vacuum pump
« on: November 10, 2009, 11:30:10 am »
Sheered off the plastic piece on my vacuum pump to the line that runs over to the brake booster. Tried using some compound to reattach it, but with no success. Was hoping someone had a worn out pump i could rob some parts off.
Any other suggestions would be great. Went to our local wrecker only to find a 1.6D that had a rotory pump too small for the AAZ.

Do you mean the check valve? The plastic nipples on it get brittle from age and heat and snap off very easily when you try to remove the vacuum lines. You can buy a new check valve with molded on brake booster hose from dealer for about $50. If you go to a junkyard, all the valves are broken or the hose has been cut...

Hope this helps
