1.9 AAZ / K03 TURBO OIL RETURN LINE

I have another option to get away from the banjo bolt / fitting on the AAz block

Jic ( flare -8 ) adapter with a Metric-18 oring 90 degreee adapter for the engine block

Fitting adapter for K03 Turbo (  two hole flange adapter ) to -8 an hose assy

Ebay item 380165103939 14.99

The hose you can use is Straight to straight flared -8 ( 1/2) I.D.



The hose should be measured from Flare to Flare on the two above fittings

This is a Expensive option

Teflon Hose assys can be ordered with either S/S fittings or alloy fittings

Teflon hose is -65 to +450

WITH OR WITHOUT FIRE SLEEVE( 2500 DEGREE TEMP RATING )

Iam going with Ae466 type hose from Aircraft spruce, it can be ordered in Blue or brown Intergal firesleeve ( hose and firesleeve are bonded together )

P.S. i did think of using a straight adapter on the block, But a 90 degree hose fitting  is more expensive

Try your local hydraulic hose supplier. They have an amazing supply of hoses and fittings. My supply and return lines (to a Garrett T3 on an AAZ) were not that expensive and he had all the right fittings at a bargain price.

I've got a T3 on an AAZ, but my ACME oil pan (vw TD -> zuki chassis) has a simple open pipe return welded in. So for this iteration, the block will be plugged.

That's how mine started out. I just bought a new pan, had it powdercoated and will put the return back in the block this winter.
