Thanks!

Used crowbar through the hole....got sprocket off, changed seals (crank, intermediate, and cam) got it all back together and timed (I think?) as I turn it over by hand after it gets hard (the compression point I think) I hear a very faint click that I'm not sure what it is....maybe coming from the intermediate shaft? Anyway, started and fired up...No explosions! hooray!
Just have to take it out for a spin now.....But have the weird bouncing belt.

See: Aux belt....tensioner?

I've heard mine do that click too, I don't know what it is but I'd like to find out :)
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
