Running rough, smoking hard, no power
« on: October 11, 2009, 02:25:46 pm »
So, it was running good, then the fuel pump needed some work, after getting that back together and timing it, its running real bad. I think maybe some dirt got into the system, what do you think.
Also, has anyone tried taking apart and cleaning the injectors? I talked to a guy a while back that said you can do it, but I doubt thats a universal truth to all diesel injectors.

Thanks

Just use the search.
I'm sure everyone with over 200 posts on here have had their injectors apart at one time or another.

IF you take them apart make sure to follow vince waldon's write up and sand the shims. More like polish, but if you have trouble with them leaking that is probably where it will be.
