« on: September 23, 2009, 08:27:18 pm »
I will be running a 1.9 AAZ with a k14 turbo and a giles performance pump which he will set so that it will work with 15 psi of boost. Do i need an EGT gauge or should I been fine. i am not turning the boost up more that that.

I have a similar setup and can get into the redzone with 15 psi under certain conditions... so I'm glad I have an EGT gauge.

I have a K03 now,  Would like to be able to find a K14.

With the KO3 I`m always pushing the EGT limits.
Of course I put my AAZ in a sidkick which weights in at 3200lbs

Everybody should have an EGT gauge to know what's going on inside.  If you're watching a boost gauge you should have the EGT right beside it.  Little changes can make a big difference if only in temp. itself and nothing else.
