I am selling my vw rabbit as we bought a tdi. This is a 1979 Vw diesel rabbit. We rebuilt the engine completly about 15,000 miles ago. We converted it to a 1.6l, so there are reman rods, new oversized pistons, new rod, main, and intermediate shaft bearings, and the correct crankshaft. The head was also fully rebuilt with a port and polish job done to it too. The timing belt and waterpump was replaced at this time too. There is a giles performance pump on it along with a huge custom made intake and exhaust header. The clutch was replaced at the time of rebuild and got a lightened balanced flywheel too. After the first five thousand miles we have ran only rotella synthetic oil. This thing runs great. We routinely get 50mpg and have hit up to 53mpg. I amagine it'll get better after the engine is broke in further. The body has surface rust all over the body, and the drivers wheel well has rust through. Nothing beyond repairing. The strut towers are in excellent shape. This has the 5sd transmission with the code "FF". The c.v. shafts were also repacked at the time of the rebuild. I would like to get
EDIT: $2800 out of it.

This fuel line came from a lawn mower shop. It is actual clear fuel line, so it won't get hard. I'm sure they make it in other colors, but this is all they had.

Its called Tygon. Same thing as weed eater fuel line.
If nothing else, guys on ebay sell it, if can't source local.
I've been checking into transparent fuel line the past couple of days myself. And will probably go with this stuff too.
Nice workmanship on the intake manifold. GL on the sale.
Rob
did you make the intake? or buy it somewhere? that intake looks like it would be happy with about 35 psi going through it.
My dad and I built the intake. It took a lot of time to do(70+ hours), but was well worth it.
you really should not have slod it with the car. that was a masterpiece. it would have worked insanely well with lots of boost.
