yeh i am going to drop the aaz into my mk2 in a week or so.
i`m not sure about swapping the turbo tho as i`m fairly chuffed with the kkk turbo its pulls so well
and yes i will be doing the gov probably in the next few days when it stops raining lol
just a concern the rear engine mount on the mk3 is different to the mk2 the mk3 mount is dead
does anyone know if the mk2 bracket will go straight onto the aaz engine ??
also would the rad out of the mk3 go into the mk2

mk3 shafts are longer but the cv will fit your mk2 shafts , and as said your mk2 mounts will bolt up to the aaz ,
i had a mk2 1.6td in my other mk2 , done the gov mod , mod the lda pin , run more boost , put a wheel stud in the inlet man blow off valve , and this would pull as good as a mk2 8v gti and 125mph

I doubt the mk3 bumpers would fit. It's too bad you don't live in north america cuz small bumpers seem to be the trend these days and you could trade for a set of big bumpers easily.

This is a very general question.
I am little fed up of all the surplus code that JCE inserts in my Articles.
Can I use CSS to give me total control over the look and feel of the Article Content?
Any advice or views on this matter would be gratefully received.
Thanks

ive still not managed to get round to swapping the engines
but ive got the aaz booked in for a cambelt change this friday finally
and i`m off to trackrod rally near pickering (uk) on 26th sept and that means me taking my car onto the gravel track to get to my aquired camping spot lol
so i wont be swapping the engines till the end of the month saves killing the underside of my mk2 on the track

Looks good mate!
Why do all the other GTD owners have to live so far? It would be good to meet up and compare cars & mods
Oh the GTD's came with smaller bumpers as standard, I won a rear Big Bumper for £1 on ebay the other day

Just need to pick it up from a place 1.5hours away
Just need a front big bumper, couple cans of red paint and raise my car from -80mm to something sensible about -40mm
