WTB Oil cooler Ford 6.9, possibly 7.3
« on: September 10, 2009, 07:28:10 pm »
I need the oil cooler from a ford (international) 6.9. Mine has corroded right through and is pouring coolant all over the place. I think that the IDI 7.3s are the same, but I'm just guessing.

Thanks
Tyler

I like the truck  :D

Too bad it's 3000 miles away from here.

I'll keep my eyes open for the part you need, things don't corrode much here.

Thanks.

My trucks from AZ, it's not suppose to corrode much either. I guess that's why you are suppose to cange the coolant....

I *think* I have one off an '85..  It should probably have new o-rings before installing simply for the sake of it's age..  The truck is rust so I'll have to give a look see and make sure it doesn;t match...

Tyler, you just need the cooler itself or the end flanges too?  I'm pretty sure I'll have one kicking around.

In true VW fashion I bought a complete truck instead of just the one part I needed  :P

I need the front header piece. The coolant was never changed on the truck and it ate clean through the aluminum. I would still like the piece

How true!

I'll dig around at the shop later this week when I'm there and see what I can find.

Got the oil cooler off the '85.. Why did I park that thing in a swamp??   Dunno if it leaked or not, never had coolant in that one, but it looks pretty crappy..  The ends have a fair amount of corrosion, and I think I could poke fingers though the center piece..  :o
