Quaife and Peloquin are essentially the same type of differential, the driving experience with both will be identical. Peloquin's are generally a bit cheaper and most of what I have read says they are also more durable. But Quaife was the first one in the game with FWD VW's.Brendan
There's a guy in Auburn that builds VW transmissions he's been doing it for many years now and he is very reasonable. pm me if you want his number. I wouldn't be surprised if you he could hook you up with a good used LSD.
www.brokevw.com is also a well noted tranny rebuilder.
ouch. theres guys rebuilding transmissions for 500 bucks in oregon. theres a few good shops in portland that rebuild transmissions cheap. but you are somewhere else. and that seems like an aweful lot just for a rebuild and LSD install.
