Pulled these from a motor that had a bad piston. I have had these in storage with the intention of putting these to use....not anymore

150$ OBO :)  shipped
Make me an offer...
Not parting out.

No shaft play. Not sure what happened here. Still made boost though. Rebuild kits are avail. I found one..but went a different route.

Does it position the turbo up or down? And there is no reason it will not fit a 1.9 right?

I buy too much stuff, or else I'd buy your group of pieces.
Good selection of spares to have around.

In case it matters - pretty sure that is a MK1 downpipe.
Maybe parts were from an 83-84 ?

I'm curious as to why you think it is a mk1 unit?

The cast iron Dpipe on my spare 86 TD engine looks nothing like this one being offered. The 86 is larger and longer. (can't do webhost pix - and doesn't look like this site does pic uploading)

The two cast iron MK1 Dpipes i bought off Vortex members (one to go on 86 engine when it goes into 82 Truck, and the other a spare) both look like this one being offered.

But i could be owner of wacky shet, and purchaser of wrong pieces.
I haven't even compared the Dpipes on my 85 TD Jetta or the 81 TD'd Truck since i bought them.
Pretty slack on my part really.

I can email a pic of the 86 TD engine showing the Dpipe side

I'm curious as to why you think it is a mk1 unit?

Looked at the picture of my 86TD engine again a lil closer.
Its not a great picture. But anyway, so you guys can get a chuckle,
what I was thinking was the Dpipe - was the big Air Intake snorkel hanging down to the side.

So unfamiliar with these TD's.
Going to start a new thread for some help.
