Mk1 Caddy equivalent size for tonneau/canapy

Someone may have already figured this out...
    Is the bed and rails and tailgate (the box) damn near the size of some other pickup?
eg...
#Toyota Tacoma Reg/Extd Cab (6' bed), 04-08
#Toyota Tacoma/SR5 (6' bed), 89-04
# Ford Ranger (6' bed), '82-'08
# Mazda B-Series (6' bed), '94-'06

I'd like to get a soft top canapy But http://www.bestop.com/index.php?a=30&r=1 they don't list the Volkswagen.

don't remember exactly but I believe the caddy bed is narower by the bulkhead than by the tailgate ... just for info

You're going to have to get a custom cut one. They're unique in size and configuration.

I got one years ago from JC Whitney...and its still up in the rafters in the garage in the box....
