I have the Bosch cone-shaped fuel pin from a UK Rover, bolt-in fueling upgrade to the LDA-equipped AAZ pump, and the Bosio GTD injector nozzles from KermaTDI to suit AAZ injectors. I don't need these, since Giles is doing a pump for me.(I didn't have an LDA, anyway!) All items are brand-new, never installed. KermaTDI price is $125 plus shipping for the nozzles.

$40 shipped for the pin (the silver one on the right)

$125 shipped for the injector nozzles

$155 shipped for both

Will the boost pin work on a 1.6TD, and would it be more agressive than stock?

If this is more aggressive than the 1.6TD boost pin, I'd be interested. It will be going in my AAZ.

they are very aggressive but fixed as far as i can see on the one i have, I.e. you cant adjust it like a 1.6td by turning it as it's not offset from the centre. Hard to explain really! LOADS of people use this pin though!

Rabbid79 and I compared dimensions between the AAZ pin and a 1.6TD pin; the AAZ Rover pin is 3mm shorter and 1mm thicker (main body). The tapered part (that changes fuel delivery) goes from 12mm down to 3.5mm.

Hi, I just wanted to clarify, my pin was actually from a 2.0 TD 5-cyl, not a 1.6 TD.  I don't know if the 2.0 pin is exactly the same as a 1.6 pin.  I don't want to say that AAZ boost pin won't work in a 1.6 application, in case the 2.0 and 1.6 pins aren't the same.  (Enough double/triple negatives in that statement?)  Put another way, I don't know if this AAZ pin will work in a 1.6 application or not.  I know it won't work in a 2.0 application though.

they are all interchangable as far as i'm concerned, the 1.6td is an upgrade for a 1.9 and the rover pin is fitted to the 1.9 too so there is no reason why it would not fit the 1.6!

If 1.6 and 1.9 are the same dimensionally, the 2.0 pin must be odd man out.  That's probably OK.  My 2.0 pin was only turned about 1/3 of the way toward maximum fueling.  Was also only about 60% of the way toward the thinnest part of the pin length wise.  A few adjustments should give me some decent fueling.

Still searching to make sure the pin will work in my AAZ. can't tell if I have a "joke" pin or not. Or if it really matters. But I'm interested

The pin will definitely work in the AAZ pump... This is the bolt-in instant-power setup lots of guys use in Europe, I bought the pin for my AAZ but went and sent the pump to Giles instead. ;D
It will be a fuel increase no matter what pin you currently have.

Well then Sir, can you tell me more about the injectors? I'm still learning about my motor. I want the pin, but might want the injectors too. How hard is it to swap pins?

As far as I know, you undo the top of the LDA cover and unscrew the original pin, and just thread the new one in. It's symmetrical, so you don't worry about orientation. Heve not done it myself, so I can't really say for sure...

The injector nozzles are Fratelli Bosio, made in Italy, specced as GTD nozzles, they are .308s... It was recommended to me to set the injectors to pop at about 163 bar (10 bar or so above stock AAZ) with these nozzles, and combined with the Rover fuel pin will really wake up the AAZ. The extra pop pressure is not absolutely necessary, and should be done by a pro, but it helps with flow and atomization.
