1.6 Head Question

Hi,
I am new/a guest to your forum. My name is Greg. I live in San Francisco bay area. About an hour east of SF. I want to be respectful to your community, I am not really a diesel/VW guy. I was hoping for a little help?
I have acquired a rebuilt 1.6 diesel head ass. from a friend who had a VW Diesel PU. The truck caught fire before he could install it. The head sat under his bench for a long time so when I acquired the head I took it to my machinist and we took it apart. I tanked it, touched up a couple of valves and reassembled it. I re-shimmed the valves to spec. Their is one small crack between one valve seat. My machinist assured me this is common on this head, and is not structural.  
I have the parts up for sale on my local Craigs list.

If anyone could give me any incite in to these parts, what years they fit,  common, uncommon? value?  Any help would be appreciated.
