Removing Terminals, Electrical Connectors
« on: August 11, 2009, 09:03:28 am »
I need to remove a couple of terminals in a square connector and install them in a "D" shaped connector. Searched around, found some verbal description and have had a go at it.Trouble is I'm not doing it right.
I'm sure I have seen a post here or else where describing the process with pictures, and I need the pictures!
Any know where I might find such things?

I don't know exactly what kind of connector your talking about or what kind of car but on my old rabbit it uses bascially quick connects with a tab that hold the plastic cover on it. if you take a small flat head screw driver from a precision set or jewelers set you can slightly bend the tab down and take the plastice cover off. If you need to replace the quick connect connector then you may have to get it from a dealer because the junk they sell at like home depot doesnt have the tab to hold it in the plastic cover. If you connector is more like a weather tite connector then you need a special little tool that is like a screw driver in size to push down that styles holding pins.

Hope that helps.
