A friend of mine has a G60 corrado project (bilstein pss9, wilwood brakes, 4pt roll cage) that I'm thinking about dropping my 1.6 gtd into. From what I gather, the corrado is a couple hundred pounds heavier than my mk2 jetta sedan that the motor is currently in (still trying to work out wiring issues). Is it going to be any more of a nightmare trying to get the corrado gauges to work than it is in the jetta? I'm a total electrical newb... The corrado currently has a 2.0 with a t3 turbo, but not wired yet. Not sure of the exact specs on the turbo, but I'm curious what you all think about whether I should keep the t2 I currently have or use the t3 on the gasser motor. I'll be dd'ing it if I do the switch, so driveable power is what I'm looking for, not something that I have to run up to 4500 before I see much boost. Any general comments on this whole swap idea? I guess I'd use the transmission currently in the g60, since it's cable shift.
