No fuel through the IP
« on: July 21, 2009, 05:48:23 am »
A friend of mine has been trying to start his 1.6 TD swap. But the fuel wont pump through the IP. You can take the lines lose gravity feed a small container of diesel and it just goes out the return line nothing to the injectors. It was getting a little bit to cylinder number 1 but now not even that. Any Ideas what it could be?

failed stop solenoid. Pull it out, take out the plunger and then see what happens.

your local Volkswagen parts place, just call a local shop for a number ;). They also sell them on the Ebay. or one of the many REPUTABLE online sellers like https://www.1stvwparts.com/, or http://www.germanautoparts.com/. Anyway just look shouldn't be to hard to find. In the mean time you could drive without it as long as your friend doesn't mind stalling the car to get it to turn off.
