WTB vnt 15 turbo
« on: July 13, 2009, 08:49:26 am »
I have a 82 caddy with a 1.6L n/a. I'm looking to get a vnt 15 turbo for it. I would also need intake and exhaust
manifolds for it. Let me know what you got. Email pics and prices to [email protected] Thanks  :D

Traditionally, VNT-15 turbos have integrated exhaust manifolds.  However, there are a few rare instances when they don't.  I've got a 2.25" stainless steel downpipe (Techtonics Tuning) built for mounting a VNT-15 into a MK1.  I also have both custom oil lines (made from new genuine VW parts), a nearly new genuine VW TD oil pan, a nearly new intake manifold, a K&N air filter, and an oil separator for the valve cover.  Pretty much everything you need to run a VNT-15 on a N/A engine, except the turbo.  I last had it one eBay for $500.  I'll take $450 plus shipping for everything.  If you're interested in any of these parts individually, let me know and I'll give you a price.

If or when I can find a good vnt15 turbo. I would be interested in some or all of your parts. I will be in touch as
soon as I come up with a turbo. Thanks for your reply.

Added a picture to get your juices flowing. :)  The only thing that's not included is the blowoff valve block-off plug.  I can supply a BOV for free if needed.

I have a brand new Euro VNT-15 available. No manifold, it's the separated one. Looking for $600 shipped.

Wow, this thread is back from the dead.  Sorry, the original turbo parts I had for sale are long gone.

Jerry you should install that on your syncro.  That is the turbo on my current mTDI high top and the performance is excellent.  Better low-end than a K03 and better high-end than a T3.   ;D  If you still have it in a few weeks, I might want to get it from you as a backup to put under the rear bench.

the VNT 15 i used to have, made more top end power than the K24 im running now.. spooled quicker too..

the K24 makes 25psi boost, but makes considerably less power..

i MISS my VNT...

i ABUSED that turbo every day for 50k miles, and it just took it and asked for more. i really wish i knew why it exploded?
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

Oh, I will, at some point... this is actually a spare, I ended up with two of them.  :D
