What turbo to use, and how to set it up?

ok, so im going to be supercharging my rabbit here in the near future, but im still un clear on a few things. i have so many options as to how i set up my intake system. i could run it just like volvo did on there engines, just using it to help spool the snail and then kick it off once its good and spooled, or i could run just a dedicated supercharger, no turbo, but still with an IC. and i still havent decided if running the clutch is a good idea or not, but i dont see why it wouldnt be, cause when you arent using the charger, it gets rid of the parasitic drag.
but anyway, im pretty sure the charger is an Ogura TX 12. its off of a volvo diesel. they set them up on the volvos to kick on at about 1400 and kick off at about 2600. after that the turbo takes care of boosting the engine. they run a K26 downstream on those engines.
what would you guys do for a setup if you were building an engine with one of these SC's? what kind and size of turbo would you guys use? would you even use a turbo? im thinking my VNT17 is just about too small for puting a SC in front of it.

well, i know i will have the SC for down low grunt, so i was just gonna go overkill on whatever turbo i use. i dont want soo much boost im going to have to worry about blowing my head through the hood tho. a K26 was kinda what i was leaning towards too, since thats what the SC was designed to be in front of. i want alot of power tho, and with that much compressed air going into the engine, it should lay down some good power & tq numbers. twin charged wont bend any rods will it? i really dont wanna bend rods/break cranks/crack blocks.
what do you guys think of those cheap t3/t4 turbos off ebay?
the a/r numbers they posted are .50 on the compressor side, and .63 on the turbine.

but, is there any way i could use the SC safely with a turbo? or should i just try a dedicated SC build for an engine??

Put the SC upstream of the turbo with a bypass valve that opens based on manifold pressure. That will keep a constant boost pressure without the SC being a parasite when the turbo has lit off.

thats exactly how i was going to set it up. but the cool thing about the SC is that it has a clutch on it, so once the turbo lites off, flick the switch and have no drag.

wow, i really like your idea. the pressure switch would work awesome. and yea, it hurts to think of how big that engines balls would be. the GT28's come off jeep libertys right?

what would be a suitable aspect ratio for a turbo to use in a series with the TX12 SC?

well, i doubt im going to buy a disco potato. those things are really expensive. and im not really shooting for a 13 second quarter mile, although that would be about the dopest thing ever. seeing a beat up flat black rabbit w/ a black cloud behind it tear down the 1/4 for a mid 13 run? my jaw would drop if i were at a drag track and i saw an ancient diesel bunny lay a 13 second run.
