I've got a EGT marked as a METEC but google is telling me it's a Autogauge made by Kangertai
It has no wiring info and six wires to connect.
two - red and black look like power
two - red and black look to be pyro connection
So I'm left with a blue and a white
Any ideas or anyone got one of these guages?
i would be willing to bet the white is for the gauge lights.
Would that bet cover the cost of a replacement??
It's been a little while but I was getting round to fitting this last night and hit the same problem - so I had a play.
It seems that the small diameter red and black pair ppower the guage and it starts to cycle through the colour backlight options until you stop it with the button on the front.
Connecting the larger black and red makes the gauge spin round to maximum.
Fitting the transducer to the blue and white wires returns the gauge to it's 0 point.
SO it would seem higher resistance = higher gauge reading?
However the pyro sits at 10 ohms when cool and drops towards 0 when introduced to a hot air gun.
Any ideas to get this setup working properly - or do I just buy another?
turns out the wiring was right but a hot air gun isn't good - I got the gas torch and heated the pyro until it glowed. Worked fine!
red and black were power
small red and black memory for light setting
white blue for pyro
