Looking for part number, or where to find
« on: June 18, 2009, 08:45:15 am »
I have a 91 Jetta non-turbo.  While working on replacing the glow plugs I managed to loose the clip at the end of the timing advance cable.  I still have the spring, but need the clip.  Where can I find one and what is the part number?

This is the end of the cable attached to the fuel pump.

it seems that its not available separately
its part of a set of seals: 068 198 052A it costs around 5€ in Europe

those seals are the ones you need if diesel is leaking from the timing advance area

but hey, I'm not sure if its the correct part!

oh crap, i misread the post and thought you lost the clip that goes on the accelerator cable.  take a stroll through the hardware store.  iirc, its just a c-clip.  I know the ace in town has lots of different sizes of those.
