ok, so i got a new clutch, nose cone, and rebuild kit for my SC. and all parts were brand new, and of course free! so its time to ship the SC home and start on a new build. anyone have any ideas? should i just throw the SC on alone? or should i compound it with the turbo? i kinda want to see what kinda power i can get out of it with just the SC alone, because i was planning on building up my MF block and strapping this thing on there and throwing the whole shabang in my 92 Jetta. that would get rid of my turbo interference with the rear engine mount. run a 4-2-1 style gasser exhaust on it and get rid of the last Y and have true dual pipes. with mufflers of course, because it would be rappin at like 1500 with no turbo or mufflers to quiet it down.

no, i did the no-fingers-discount. my boss just felt really bad about me getting fired, and since i wanted to do something with the pieces, he gave all of them to me. the SC is used, and is probably only good for a core, but the clutch and parts are all new running take offs.

:o WOW :o some people ca be really rude. Do you accuse everyone who gets something for free of being a thief. Honestly..... If you wouldn't say it to someones face, don't say it over the internet.

cool project, and keep up the good work. I'm really interested in seeing how this turns out.

im not quite for positive what car i want to put this power plant into once its done. i have my black 81 rab, my 80 4 dr rab, and a really nice low miles 92 Jetta w/ recaros, well, they are supposed to be in it, but there in my rabbit right now. this engine would definitely have enough TQ even for the heavy jetta.

oh yea, free-
obtaining something without payment.
but in this case, no, it wasnt by way of theft.

I'm sorry it was taken as rude. I would have said to his face as he would have seen it was ment as tong and cheek (like a small joke) :-)  Life is too short for negative comments.

Wish I had more to comment :-(

so, any of you guys that know anything about superchargers, would the static torque be the ammount of power it takes to drive the supercharger? anyway, the blower has a static torque of 1160.
