missing backing plate for pressure plate
« on: June 11, 2009, 02:09:28 pm »
i was putting my new clutch on my new motor and once i got it all together i realized that i didnt have the backing plate that goes between the crankshaft bolts and the pressure plate. should i worry about that or can i run it without one. from the picture it just looks like it serves as a sort of washer. any input on this is appreciated....

its only there to serve as a washer - just remember to use loctite - blue on the bolts - when you install the flywheel I doubt it will have starter engagement issues as it is really thin
