AAZ head gasket & Turbo

Hi All,

I have just had a AAZ engine installed in my mk1 caddy.

Sdaly received a call from the mechanic to let me know the head gasket has gone (i bought the engiine 2nd hand)  anyway so whilst the head was off being welded, skimmed and machined I thought I would also change the turbo.  There is a lot of play in the current unit and it sounds like it is on its way out.

My engine spec is

1.9AAZ Engine
2.5" stainless downpipe to single box 2.25" system
Modded 1.6GTD pump
1.6GTD Injectors
Large FMIC

Also the engine has a GTD turbo.  Unsure of whether KKK or Garret, it came with the engine and is fronm a Golf GTD.

Anyway, from your experience what would be the best replacment turbo for this set-up?  I don't want the added exspense of changing the downpipe or the manifold so it has to fit the standard set-up.  I have allready spent too much!
