newb -1992 gtd special from WI

My name is chris im from wisconsin, may have seen me on a few other diesel related sites as "smokinram114" I have built a 800hp 2002 cummins diesel that has a laundry list of mods, basically nothing on it is factory.. I recently bought a 92 Golf GTD special (maybe a 91 duno title is wierd) from one of my friends who "wanted something new" after owning it for 3 years. i dont know much about the thing other then he bought it from canada from a guy off ebay who got it from poland. may be he is on this site even. I have figured out how to "tweak" the pump, deleted the muffler, and swiss cheesed the air box. I also painted the molding black and have since painted the rims black. oh and the 7in turnout was for conversation LOL

Welcome to the site. Nice GTD, Looks to be in great shape. You don't see many in the states, in fact yours is the first, at least for me.

pretty sure TopSpeed (vortex) originally imported this car with BBS RA's, but he kept them and sold it on steelies... saw this car in person 100k km ago and it was like new - doesn't look much different now.  SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT!    awesome
