I have a modified AAZ/T3 in a Mk 1 Caddy. I have ARP studs throughout (a necessity), balanced, ported head, Giles pump (also a necessity), PP 2.5" downpipe and a 2.25" Magnaflow exhaust. I couldn't be happier, though I've yet to turn it over 10psi. It pulls so strong it surprises a lot of Honda owners. I am installing a 2-stage boost controller tomorrow, so the fun starts then. I plan on 10-12 psi daily and 20-25 psi at the flip of a switch.
ok - but please, what T3 do you have? i'm specifically asking about the 300D spec one.also, on your boost controller idea - i'm curious about why you want to have it set up so - you will be relying heavily on the LDA to richen the mix if you tune your pump for not too much smoke at 12psi - conversely, if the pump is tuned so, you may not even be able to make as much boost as you wish to "at the flip of a switch". what pin are/will you be using?
You obviously have no idea how a Giles pump works. It is absolutely fantastic. The job of the LDA is to change fueling when boost increases and Giles is a master at perfectring that process. His LDA pin is a custom unit unlike anything I've ever seen.My T3 is from a 1.6 TD Jetta. The Merc T3 is a bit open on the exhaust side and they take forever to spool up.
you didnt even answer my question about your turbocharger.
if YOU had an idea how a Giles pump worked, then wouldnt YOU be the one selling htem to people as well?
