she's a 5 speed. 2 door. ALH. been babied. Daddy took her to the dealership for most of her life. (still does for some reason. Doesnt trust me to touch it i guess...)
I have to be extremely forceful for it to shift gears. If i go slow it feels like it grinds...
could i perhaps have to adjust the clutch? (ie. the clutch is grabbing even with the pedal to the floor? because it starts grabbing almost immediately once i start to release the pedal.
Thanks for the help!
it wouldn't be a bad idea to bleed the clutch, but i've heard that the best (and possibly only) way is to reverse bleed it. could be a combination of that and bad gear oil though.
and if i were to change the gear oil completely?
Edit: I just heard my mum leave with my bedroom window open. It really GRINDS into reverse. and when it starts there is a strange but loud groaning sound. Possibly the starter not disengaging fully but i've heard that before and it was a screaming sound. This sound is like a .... blowing a blade of grass between your thumbs but fairly low pitch. possibly related?
