New purchase, diesel conversion.........

Bought (stole?) a '92 Jetta four door, gas in nice shape, $400 on Kijiji in London. Car has an 8 valve gas, 5 speed AUG, etc.
Plans are to put the AAZ I have in stock in the car, Hooked either to a 3.94/.75 trans or better yet put the .75 or .71 overdrive I have in stock in the AUG.

Questions:
1) Can I plug a relay into the fuse panel for the glow plugs (and the harness) from a diesel car?
2) Do I need to use a diesel guage cluster to get the tach to work, or is there a work around to use the gas tach? I want to use the serpentine setup that's on the AAZ and  as far as I know the  factory '92 diesel tach won't be accurate anyway......

Thanks to Vince Waldon, someone pointed me at an old thread on the Vortex. Apparently I can plug in my '92 diesel cluster into the '92 gas car. Finding the right wire under the hood for the W terminal shouldn't be too bad.....  Hope the glow plug circuit is that easy too!
