My wife hates when I get the flat black out. I tell her its how you know a car is fast:D I admittidly don't wash the car to often. Where I live it is about 1/2 an hour to the closest interstate highway and mostly dirt roads all I would get done is washing so I don't do it much.

I thought the standard method for cleaning flat black was simply to spray more flat black on top of the dirt rather than washing the unclean area(s)..

lol, thats one way to do it..
i like to atleast take mine out to the beach and bounce it off a few dunes to rough up the paint before spraying a new coat on top of it. its way easier than sanding.

^Forest green metallic FTW.  I love it on my car.

I do wish my car was 2 door, however.

i dont have any exhaust shots. and i wont be taking any with this exhaust system. its way embarrassing. its all stainless flex pipe. clear from the down pipe to the 40 series..

and i know i really do want your shell. i have a serious soft spot for 2 door rabbits. that one looks like its still in pretty good shape.. but how big is the dent in the drivers door? fixable or just neeeds a new door?

Wait second, Im confused when I look at the engine. Where's the turbo? It looks like you just put on a gasser intake.

Tucked down behind there is a vnt........
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

I'd swear that's my car in your avitar, even how the front end sits a little higher, even the wheels look close but I can't quite make them out.  Mine are the full cover type, I don't know what year they are but my buddy gave them to me, they are easy to keep clean.  It seems like half the cars on here are 81 Rabbits.  I wonder why so many more 81's  than other years?
