Do the newer tdi's _need_ a  fuel sender in a second tank? or will they pull it bia the injector pump like older 1.6s?

Do you have any fuel switches by chance? I might be interested in the Mega Vegtherm

DO YOU MEAN A LIFT PUMP? if so, YES, BUT FROM 2004 - 2006.  FROM 1998 - 2003 THE IP PULSE THE VEG BUT SOME DO PUT A SMALL PUMP (LIFT PUMP) TO REMOVE ANY TYPE OF PRESSURE THAT MIGHT BE PRESENT. I ASKED THIS QUESTION TO THE OWNER OF FRYBRID AND SUGGESTED A LIFT PLUMP IS NOT REQUIRED BECAUSE BY THE TIME YOU SWITCH TO VEG THE THE SYSTEM HAS ALREADY WARMED UP THE VEG TO KEEP IT MOVING FREELY.

I INSTALLED A LIFT PUMP JUST THE SAME ON MY 2002 BUT REMOVED A FEW DAYS LATER; THE VACUUM GAUGE DID NOT SHOW ANY EXTRA PRESSURE WHEN USING THE LIFT PUMP SO WHY HAVE THAT EXTRA ELECTRICAL DEMAND.

DO YOU MEAN A FUEL VALVE THE DOES THE JOB FROM GOING FROM DIESEL TO VEG? I MAY HAVE A 1 MONTH OLD  HYDRAFORCE VALVE AVAILABLE.

THE VEGTHERM (MEGA) IS STILL AVAILABLE.
