8V of Fury PMed me tonight and asked my why I locked yet another thread... a reasonable question.
This is a diesel forum... not a forum about boobs, schlongs, or whether hot feminists exist.
There are millions of places on the Internet for these kinds of discussions... this does not need to be one of 'em. This is a diesel forum frequented by folks of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, and this weekend has proven that off-topic conversations have a way of going down hill fast.
One of our jobs as "Moderators" is to "moderate" threads that are headed out of whack... our approach will range from a comment about suggested behaviour all the way to a bucket of cold water. :wink:
"Out of whack" means topics and conversation that would make someone quite uncomfortable in the presence of their 6-year old daughter. This is a diesel forum, so it's kinda hard to imagine how this could *ever* happen, but there you have it.
Folks wanting to chew the fat on boobs, schlongs, and feminists are welcome to gather at any number of Internet watering holes... our host (Marc) provides this *free* forum for accessible and respectful conversations about diesel-related topics.
On a personal note: all these non-diesel shenanigans cost me about 5 hours of mod time this weekend... time I would have much rather spent wrenching on a diesel... the whole reason for this forum in the first place. :wink:
