WTB: 1.6 injectors
« on: April 24, 2009, 03:51:10 pm »
The injectors in my car have about 200k on them and sound like absolute trash.  I have a feeling they contributed to my slightly melted pistons, too.

Anyway, anyone have a set of very good condition 1.6td injectors laying around?  I don't really care if they are OEM or have merc, gtd, chevy, etc nozzles in them...as long as they aren't worn out, work properly, and are priced less than rebuilt ones, I'm happy. :)  No na injectors, please.

Melted piston pic for hilarity.  I think it was caused by a carbon buildup on the prechamber insert that got extremely hot (was white).

Hmmm, intriguing.

The only thing that gets me is, the merc nozzles seem to get mixed reviews...

Get in touch with Duane.  He might have a set ready to go.  Send him yours as an exchange set.  That might be the quickest, besides you guys are not that far apart.
