Intro and High Oil Consump

Hey guys,

I've just stumbled on to this site after searching for a wile and only coming up with the TDI forum. Since they don't mention much about the TD it didn't help.

I've had my Passat TD for 6 months and the oil consumption and smoke is getting worse. Not the regular black diesel smoke, but a constant light grey / black smoke when accelerating. I realised that it only occurs when the turbo spools.

So today I dug around and found oil in the intake just after the turbo. There is a lot of oil in the intake manifold. After taking my turbo out (not the easiest job in the world to get all the bolts off  :x ) I noticed that the intake side is soaked in oil! It looks like the oil is being sucked in from around the the compressor wheel and flowing into the engine.

Is this common on the 1.9 TD with 200k km and I'm assuming it's turbo rebuild time. Any advise on the next step would be helpful.
