ALMOST got the rabbit running again. new injectors, hoses, fuel lines, relocated the fuel filter (it was right above the alternator, which was kind of in the way of stuff). It actually did start, but ran horrible, then I noticed that I had accidentally switched the supply and return lines. Doh! Switched them back, and tried to start it and the starter died. Gotta swap the new starter in there, and it should be about ready though (when it warms up -- was 50F yesterday, but its 12F with blowing snow this morning).
It's also getting a new paint job (not a great one, but looks pretty sharp from more than 10 feet from it -- I'll post pics when I get it running).

Rattle can? roller? Brush!? lool how you painting it? I am a fan of the roll, wet sand, roll wet sand form.. its fun and CHEAP lol and its a good 8 footer at least
my car is known as the "Tank" around town because of the sound.. so i will be painting it Olive Drab come some better weather

Yeah. Most the spraypaint does tend to oxidize pretty fast, especially in the colorado sun (actually, even factory paint on older cars has to be waxed often to keep from oxidizing here). The last two paint jobs on this car did that (the really bad black paint the P.O. had put over the factory white paint, then my green and yellow paint job when I got it). The Hammerite seems to hold up a bit better than most though. Not really a contender with a nice modern two part polyurethane car paint... but cheaper and faster too.

Yippie. It runs. I put in the new starter motor on Sunday, and it fired right up. Then I drove it out of the snowbank it was buried in (yeah, we got 34" of snow on Friday, one of these wet late spring storms). I was pretty impressed that it was able to pull out with only 2wd.

Now just have to finish painting it, change the oil, and get it registered again.
