Few questions about N/A to Turbo
« on: March 29, 2009, 06:13:08 pm »
Ok so I am converting my N/A to Turbo and my first question is where do you tap into for the oil into the turbo (not the return line). My second question is what size AN fitting do I need to tap into the oil pan for my return oil line?

My third question is where can I get this flange and gasket?

Also where can I get this gasket for the intake manifold?

Also are the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets the same on all 8v motors?

Sorry if these are newb questions but I need to know thanks for any info.

Here is a pic of my oil filter housing if that helps with the oil inlet question.

If you remove the filter flange, you can drill and tap the boss you see on top for your feed line. I used 5/16 brake lines for mine. The gasket for your manifold - the one you show, could still be good. It not, it is simple and you can buy a roll of gasket material from most auto parts stores if you can find the proper gasket already made.

a VERY thin layer of good silicone will be fin on the intake neck.

There isn't a gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold, As in you don't need one just bolt it on.

Than as ARB mentioned drill and tap the oil filter housing and your golden.
