• Those return flanges on the 1.6's oil pans thread into the pan don't they? I think a monkey wrench will straighten them out possibly...
  
  A flex pipe will fix it too anyways which you'd need aswell

• I think one is angled to miss the A2 rear motor mount bracket.
   I've seen some return lines go around them and some go through the center of the mount.

• Angled toward the drivers side would be preferable.
