I don't know if I'd really call that nuts as it's a bolt in, but you might consider a 1.6TD from a Quantum since that would have all of the proper bracketry and such to bolt into the Fox (longitudally, sp). Is it an Audi Fox or a VW Fox you're looking to use? I'm guessing a VW Fox because I doubt Audi Foxes exist up there anymore. Good luck though, sounds like a cool project.  :D

Start watching the paper, local "Buy and Sell" type things. Down here we have one called the TRIAD. Needed an engine in a hurry a few weeks ago,na dnone of the wreckers could supply one . Bought the triad, found a whole car, price was right. Wanted a 1.9, found a 1.6 TD car that's a mate to the two I/we drive. Was in a hurry (daily driver) so took the first decent diesel I could find. Good luck!

BTW, could be an audi fox, I've seen a few up here, but the vdubs are a lot more common. Just got rid of one last weekend.............

I think this is a GREAT project idea! The Quantum/Audi4k drive train drops right in and you'll take at least 1000lbs (500kg) off the weight.

Yep, buy an entire Quantum or Audi 4000 with the 1.6lTD. That way you get everything you need to do it right...engine, gearbox, electrics, dash, etc.

Sweet! :D

hey thanks guys this is a great start... anyone seen any tubo diesel audi's up here in canada?? i must admit i've never seen one....

i'm not worried about the electrics or anything like that... the only thing i think i would like is the tranny or the gears at least from an audi 4000TD... that would be great!??!

any ideas for the project would be great as we are open to ideas, perferably good ones... hahaha

thanks again,

Yeah, I just listed the Audi 4k because it's the same car as the VW Quantum and I didn't know if it might have been available in Canada, since you guys get some cars we don't down here in the States.
